• Myriophyllum spicatum; Amazon Water Milfoil; Introduced (tropics); Locally abundant in all the lakes in the Refuge. Mohlenbrock (2002, 2014) reports it only for Kendall, Lake, and McHenry Counties. Heliotropiaceae (or Boraginaceae)

• Heliotropium indicum; Indian Heliotrope; Introduced (Asia); Uncommon to rare. On dike at west end of Harmony Trail.  Also in A-41 area.There is debate about its provenance: some claim the plant hails from tropical Asia (as its name indicates), others hold that it originates in South America.
